Brand New Week

So I'm almost back to normal! The constipation has finally resolved and my guts are nearly back to normal. Eating normal foods but staying away from sodas and anything to acidic right now and eating lots of small meals and resting. Lots of resting! My incision site didn't hurt before because it was overwhelmed with the other pain but now it's really stinging and burning and I have to be cautious how I move but it's slowly improving as well. I can tell that my body is overtaxed with recovery from the surgery, the complications and of course the anemia. I only have so much blood to go around to all these reasons and I have to keep my activity level very low otherwise I bring on more malaise and feel really awful for most of the day. 4.5 more weeks until I'm back to work so I'm trying to take advantage of everyday that I can to build my strength.

I'm hoping to make some more jewelry this week and list a few pieces since my shops are starting to look a bit barren.

  1. I feel for you. :) It was strange to me that I felt like I would be good to go in a day or two and in the end it took almost the whole six weeks. I think the strange numbness ended up being the thing that bothered me the most. It has been about six months and I still have numbness that drives me crazy. The whole B.M. thing kept me in the hospital for a week and put me in real embarrassing situations but in the end getting rid of the watermelon in my belly was worth it all. Sit down with some pretty stuff and make something! You have a little time to kill. :)

  2. I am glad to hear you are feeling a little better. Just take it easy and let your body tell you what it can and cannot do. Don't over do it! Take care

  3. Hi Heather! Given the way things started out, I am happy to read that your recovery is on the up swing. I am happy to report that my newsletter in which you are featured is finally done and it has been uploaded. I hope you like the way it turned out but if not please let me know and I can make whatever changes might be needed. Thanks so much for volunteering and for taking the time to send me your images and your text. I appreciate it. I wish you all the best in the coming weeks and may you have a very speedy recovery. Take care.

  4. Hey Heather, I am glad you are starting to feel a little better! My mom had her CT scan yesterday, I am thinking she has an impaction but hopefully not. She is in a great deal of abdominal pain and that is not normal. Keep your fingres crossed for her! I love your new designs too! Jackie
